The Dog Days Are Here: Time-bending Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days Video Game Launches Today on Steam
Big Star Games and Lionsgate launch innovative top-down action-strategy shooter for the 25th anniversary of iconic movie’s release.
BARCELONA, Spain – May 18, 2017 – Independent video game publisher Big Star Games, in partnership with Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), a premier next-generation global content leader, today launched the action-strategy shooter Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days. Combining the enthralling tension of the cult-classic film with an innovative “Time Rewind” gameplay mechanic, the title is now available for $14.99 on Windows PC and Mac via Steam and Twitch Games Commerce. It is expected to arrive on video game consoles later this year.
In Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, players will discover a new level of action-shooter strategy by rewinding time to guide each Reservoir Dog through high-level tactical gameplay. Turning time back affords players a chance to realign strategies, save downed allies or conduct complex maneuvers to blast a bloody path through enemies and complete each heist. With no health packs and limited ammo, players will need to carefully execute their plans and steal as much as possible to make it through the game’s 18 levels.
“With Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, we wanted to pay respects to one of our favorite films of all time while offering something innovative with the license,” said Liam Patton, CEO, Big Star Games. “We created the ‘Time Rewind’ mechanic to let players toy with time just as Quentin Tarantino did, adding a new layer of strategy to top-down shooter games that will appeal to hardcore gamers and film fans alike.”
“We’re thrilled to give fans exciting new ways to interact with one of Lionsgate’s most iconic properties,Reservoir Dogs,” said Lionsgate President of Interactive Ventures and Games Peter Levin. “From day one, we’ve loved Big Star’s unorthodox vision for Bloody Days, and the game is shaping up to become something special.”
Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days users can control a cast of iconic characters, such as Mr. Blonde and Mr. White, while utilizing unique sets of passive abilities to succeed in the game’s multitude of heists. Players must navigate the game’s fast-paced action and hard-hitting twists by balancing aggressive shooting and taking cover while stealing as much cash as possible to unlock new weapons and levels.
Action-shooter fans playing Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days will experience:
- Unique Time-bending Action with the “Time Rewind” System: Use overlapping bursts of time to adapt and execute new tactics on the fly through each stage;
- Six Infamous Movie Characters: Control Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, and Mr. White in a series of heists while using each characters’ unique abilities;
- Heists and Surprises: Complete a variety of high-octane heists that take place in diverse environments containing unsuspecting twists and turns.
